PeopleSoft Cost Accounting Consultant – Manufacturing

Location: Remote
Duration: 2–3 Months
Schedule: Part-Time or Full-Time
Type: Contract

We are seeking an experienced PeopleSoft Cost Accounting Consultant for a short-term engagement with a manufacturing client. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with PeopleSoft Cost Management/Accounting across both purchased (Buy) and manufactured (Make) items.

Responsibilities

Review and support PeopleSoft Cost Accounting configuration and processes for purchased and manufactured inventory.
Analyze costing requirements across Purchasing, Inventory, Manufacturing, and Cost Management.
Support standard costing, actual costing, cost elements, overhead, additional costs, and item cost calculations.
Review costing and accounting treatment for:

Purchase receipts and putaways
Production completions and putaways
Component issues to production
Material, labor, machine, and overhead costs
Inventory valuation and cost adjustments

Troubleshoot costing discrepancies and related accounting entries.
Review costing processes and configuration and recommend appropriate solutions.
Work with functional and technical teams to resolve PeopleSoft costing issues.

Required Experience

Strong hands-on experience with PeopleSoft Cost Management / Cost Accounting.
Experience supporting a manufacturing environment.
Strong understanding of costing for both Buy and Make items.
Experience with PeopleSoft modules including:

Cost Management
Inventory
Purchasing
Manufacturing

Strong understanding of standard cost, actual cost, cost elements, overhead, inventory valuation, and accounting entries.
Ability to analyze complex costing scenarios and troubleshoot issues independently.

Experience with PeopleSoft manufacturing costing and the accounting impact of transactions across Purchasing, Inventory, and Manufacturing is particularly important.

This is a remote contract opportunity and can be structured as either part-time or full-time based on candidate availability.
