Site Engineer

Site Engineer - Clean Water Projects Location: Chester Sector: Utilities / Clean Water Employment Type: Contract We are currently seeking an experienced Site Engineer to join a leading civil engineering contractor delivering clean water projects for United Utilities across the Chester area.

This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and detail-oriented engineer with experience in water, utilities, groundworks, or civil engineering projects who is looking to play a key role in the successful delivery of essential infrastructure schemes.

Key Responsibilities Setting out and surveying works in accordance with design drawings and specifications. Ensuring works are carried out safely, efficiently, and to the required quality standards. Producing and maintaining accurate site records, as-built drawings, and quality documentation.

Coordinating with site management, subcontractors, and the client team. Managing quality assurance processes, inspections, and testing requirements. Monitoring progress and reporting on project performance. Supporting the delivery team with technical queries and engineering solutions.

Assisting with planning and programming of works to ensure project milestones are achieved. Requirements Previous experience as a Site Engineer within civil engineering, utilities, water, or infrastructure projects. Experience working on clean water schemes would be highly advantageous.

Strong setting out experience using GPS, total station, and surveying equipment. Good understanding of quality assurance procedures and engineering standards. Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications. CSCS Card essential. SSSTS. HNC/HND or Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline preferred.
