RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in NYC that is seeking a Platform Engineer.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and support enterprise API and integration solutions using IBM API Connect (APIC) and IBM DataPower
- Build, secure, publish, and manage REST and SOAP APIs, ensuring compliance with API governance standards
- Develop integration components and transformation services using GatewayScript, XSLT, XPath, JSON, XML, and related technologies
- Deploy and support API platforms within OpenShift, containerized, cloud, hybrid-cloud, and on-premises environments
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues related to APIs, middleware, integrations, networking, and system performance while supporting CI/CD and DevOps initiatives
REQUIREMENTS:
- Strong hands-on experience with IBM API Connect (APIC) and IBM DataPower Gateway platforms
- Expertise in REST, SOAP, JSON, XML, XSLT, XPath, WSDL/XSD, and enterprise integration technologies
- Experience implementing API security standards, including OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect (OIDC), JWT, mTLS, LDAP, and certificate-based authentication
- Knowledge of OpenShift, Kubernetes, containerized deployments, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps tools such as GitHub, GitLab, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps
- Experience designing highly available, resilient systems and working with microservices, event-driven architectures, and enterprise integrations
- Visa sponsorship is not available for this position
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
Note: Pay is not considered compensation until it is earned, vested and determinable. The amount and availability of any compensation remains in Kforce's sole discretion unless and until paid and may be modified in its discretion consistent with the law.
