Job Description

About the Role

This is a foundational, first-hire QA role at an early-stage AI infrastructure company building a GPU fleet management platform that operates across a web UI, Slack, and an AI-native interface. You will own quality end-to-end, from agent behavior and conversational accuracy to real Kubernetes cluster operations, and you will shape how quality is practiced from day one.

What You'll Do

  • Design and execute end-to-end tests for conversation flows, command accuracy, and real cluster operations across Slack and the web UI.

  • Build evaluation frameworks for agent behavior, validating correct answers, safe actions, and graceful handling of ambiguous or malformed requests.

  • Write integration tests in Go covering multicluster backend operations including install, upgrade, and failover scenarios.

  • Spin up and tear down Kubernetes test clusters on demand, validating controllers, operators, and CRDs across multiple Kubernetes versions.

  • Verify alerting systems fire correctly, route to Slack and the UI, and only trigger when appropriate.

  • Gate releases in CI/CD pipelines and convert bugs and incidents into regression tests.

What We're Looking For

  • 3+ years of experience in QA, SDET, or test automation roles building or delivering test suites and automation frameworks.

  • Proficiency in Go, with hands-on experience writing integration tests against real infrastructure.

  • Strong Kubernetes knowledge, including testing controllers, operators, and CRDs against live clusters.

  • Solid Linux fundamentals and experience with CI/CD platforms such as GitHub Actions or similar.

  • Experience building end-to-end tests for web UIs, ideally using frameworks like Playwright.

  • Familiarity with monitoring and alerting tools such as Prometheus, Alertmanager, and Grafana.

  • Exposure to multicluster tooling, GitOps workflows, or infrastructure-as-code practices.

  • Background testing LLM-powered or conversational products, including building evals, is a strong plus.

  • Experience with chaos engineering tools and Kubernetes testing frameworks is a plus.

  • Prior experience as a first QA hire at an early-stage company is a plus.
