Sr. Business Analyst (Global Connected Services)

The Department

• Client’s Global Connected Services (GCS) develops and markets services that use truck data to advise the customer to enhance cost effective use of trucks. All knowledge and expertise in this field is structured within one global organization, across the entire organization, indicating the strategic importance of global development of connected services for client. This also leads to consistency with regard to the customer experience across the DAF, Kenworth or Peterbilt brands.
• The Global Over-the-Air (GOTA) delivery team provides a global service for Over-the-Air (OTA) updates to select client vehicles. The GOTA delivery team maintains the backlog fS development of OTA update capabilities utilizing Scrum practices and collaborating with internal and external teams to deliver products and services. OTA is a global service utilized by client to provide services to DAF, Kenworth and Peterbilt customers and consumers.

Brief: The Business Analyst (or Business Technical Analyst) translates business processes and customer requirements into specific software requirements. They interact with business stakeholders, technology/project teams, delivery teams, test teams, and support teams to produce deliverables from requirement documents to functional specs, test cases, and implementation documents. The Business Analyst is responsible for ensuring the business requirements are captured and documented correctly before a solution is developed and implemented. The Business Analyst collaborates with stakeholders in the Netherlands, India, and across the USA to gather requirements, define solutions, and facilitate the implementation of OTA services that deliver business value while meeting regulatory and operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Elicit, analyze, document, and validate business, functional, and technical requirements. Delivering from start to finish.
• Elicits requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, task and workflow analysis.
• Translate business needs into user stories, business process flows, functional- and technical specifications, and acceptance criteria.
• Support the implementation, enhancement, and ongoing optimization of OTA services.
• Coordinate worldwide application setup, onboarding, and configuration activities across multiple countries and markets.
• Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Development Teams, Architects, Engineers, Business Stakeholders and more to deliver effective solutions.
• Facilitate workshops, requirement-gathering sessions, and stakeholder meetings across geographically distributed teams.
• Support system integration initiatives involving APIs, connected vehicle platforms, and enterprise applications.
• Coordinate and support testing activities, including System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Ensure solutions align with global standards, data governance policies, and local market requirements.
• Analyze and optimize business processes to drive continuous improvement of fleet management and connected vehicle services. Prepare the business for delivery of completed projects and products.
• Act as a trusted advisor to business stakeholders, providing insights and recommendations based on data and operational needs.
• Develop training material and provide training as needed.

Your profile

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or have equivalent work experience of 2-4 years demonstrating advanced knowledge and expertise in the specified area.
• Strong experience in requirements gathering, stakeholder management, business process analysis, and solution definition.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, presentation, and documentation skills.
• Ability to manage stakeholders and manage priorities across multiple projects and teams across the globe.

Highly Recommended:

• Experience working in under Agile/Scrum methodology and collaborating with cross-functional product teams.
• Familiarity with Agile project management software such as Azure DevOps, Jira, and other related software development life cycle tools.
• Understanding of APIs, system integrations, data flows, and cloud-based applications.
• Proven experience working effectively within multicultural and geographically distributed teams, particularly across European and Indian organizations.
• Business Level and Tech Industry Fluency in English
