Job Description
Mechanical Building Services Engineer The Opportunity<br />We are working with a leading UK construction contractor seeking an experienced Mechanical Building Services Engineer to join its Building Services team in Bristol. You'll support projects from pre-construction through delivery, coordinating design, procurement and installation while working alongside project, design and commercial teams. Key Responsibilities
- Support tender and pre-construction activities including design reviews, buildability assessments and value engineering.
- Coordinate consultants, subcontractors and internal stakeholders to deliver fully integrated M&E solutions.
- Manage technical queries, RFIs and design changes throughout the project lifecycle.
- Lead coordination of mechanical services, ensuring compliance with specifications, programme and budget.
- Review and approve technical submissions, installation drawings and commissioning information.
- Monitor procurement, factory testing and delivery of plant and equipment.
- Carry out site inspections and support construction teams to resolve technical issues.
- Ensure designs meet quality, safety, maintainability and commissioning requirements. About You
- Experience delivering mechanical building services packages within construction.
- Background with a main contractor or M&E contractor.
- Engineering degree, HNC/HND or equivalent preferred.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong understanding of design coordination and project delivery.
