Job Title: Client Relationship Manager (Paraplanner)
Location: Ramsbottom - North West
Salary: Competitive, depending on experience

Key Responsibilities:
- Obtain and analyse information relating to clients' existing financial arrangements and complete detailed gap analysis.
- Produce strategy reports and make high-level recommendations in line with clients' objectives and circumstances.
- Research the market and recommend suitable financial products and solutions based on client requirements.
- Prepare high-quality, personalised client reports written in clear, concise and accessible language.
- Work closely with Financial Advisers throughout the research, report-writing and recommendation process.
- Ensure all advice and recommendations meet regulatory, compliance and internal quality standards.
- Develop a thorough understanding of each client's circumstances, objectives, attitude to risk, capacity for loss, knowledge, experience and timescales.
- Prepare detailed analysis of existing investment and pension portfolios.
- Research and produce client-facing strategy reports to support new business opportunities.
- Prepare research, quotations and supporting information for client meetings.
- Deal with client and provider correspondence as part of the research and reporting process.
- Prepare valuations and portfolio commentary for client meetings and ongoing reviews.
- Liaise with colleagues and compliance teams to support the approval and submission of compliant new business.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records and ensure all tasks are recorded and progressed within agreed timescales.
- Manage workflow effectively and provide clear updates on case progress.
- Work collaboratively with other Paraplanners and colleagues, sharing ideas and best practice.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and enhance the overall client experience.
- Participate in relevant training, competence and professional development initiatives.
What We're Looking For:
- An experienced and career-focused Paraplanner with a strong desire to develop professionally.
- Minimum CII Diploma-level study, ideally with the Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning already underway or completed.
- Strong knowledge of financial planning, including pre- and post-retirement planning and pension transfers.
- Good understanding of investments, taxation and wider financial planning strategies.
- Excellent report-writing and research skills, with the ability to turn complex information into clear, client-friendly recommendations.
- Strong understanding of the FCA regulatory and compliance framework.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering consistently high-quality work.
- Ability to manage workloads effectively and work to agreed deadlines.
- A professional, proactive and collaborative approach.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- A genuine desire to progress towards Chartered Financial Planner status.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience within an independent financial advice or financial planning environment.
- Experience preparing suitability letters, strategy reports and client-facing recommendations.
- Experience with pension analysis, pension transfers, investments and portfolio reviews.
- Strong understanding of financial planning products and platforms.
- Experience working closely with Financial Advisers and compliance teams.
- Familiarity with back-office systems and workflow management.
- CII Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning completed or nearing completion.
- Progress towards Chartered Financial Planner status.
