Senior QA Analyst - Manual & Front-End Testing

RESPONSIBILITIES

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Senior QA Analyst - Manual and Front-End Testing in Charlotte, NC.

Summary

We are looking for an experienced Senior QA Analyst to join a fast-paced team focused on protecting the customer experience in production. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys manual, front-end testing, has strong critical-thinking skills, and naturally looks beyond the obvious test cases to find what could go wrong.
You will work closely with product, development, delivery, CX, and data teams to identify and resolve issues quickly - particularly those that could impact customers or revenue.

What You Will Do

• Perform hands-on manual functional and regression testing of customer-facing web experiences
• Test critical customer journeys including purchasing, billing, upgrades, and other revenue-impacting experiences
• Perform launch and post-launch testing in production, with a focus on higher-risk areas
• Think critically about what may have been missed during lower-environment testing and identify additional scenarios that should be tested in production
• Partner closely with development and delivery teams to investigate, communicate, and resolve defects
• Work with data teams to create and manage test data for complex scenarios
• Continuously improve regression testing by identifying vulnerable areas and adjusting test coverage
• Analyze defect patterns and trends to help the team identify recurring issues and improve future testing
• Leverage AI tools to improve test planning, test case development, and defect analysis

AI & Modern QA:
The organization is actively incorporating AI into its software development lifecycle. You will have opportunities to use AI to:

• Generate test cases and test plans from product requirements
• Identify gaps in existing test coverage
• Analyze defect trends and recurring vulnerabilities
• Improve regression and production testing strategies

REQUIREMENTS:

• Strong experience with manual QA testing, particularly functional and regression testing
• Strong front-end/UI testing experience; this is not primarily a backend/API testing role
• Ability to think like a customer and evaluate whether an experience actually works as intended
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Ability to distinguish between valid defects and issues that are functioning as designed
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work closely with product, development, and delivery teams
• Strong sense of urgency and comfort working in a fast-moving environment where priorities can change quickly
• Someone who is naturally curious and enjoys figuring out how to break things and find issues others may miss
• Experience using AI tools in a QA/testing environment
• Experience with Kiro, Claude, or similar AI tools is a plus, but we're more interested in candidates who understand how to apply AI effectively to QA

This role is ideal for someone who genuinely enjoys manual testing and takes pride in finding the issues that others overlook. You should be comfortable jumping into a new system, learning quickly, asking questions, and operating when things aren't perfectly defined. If your background is primarily focused on building automation frameworks or writing code, this may not be the right fit. We're specifically looking for someone who enjoys being hands-on with the product and thinking through the customer experience.
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
