Job Description

MAU is hiring a Technical Territory Sales Manager for our client in Penn Yan, NY. As a Technical Territory Sales Manager, you will drive revenue growth by developing strategic customer relationships and providing technical sales support for advanced electronic components and semiconductor packaging applications. This role requires a strong understanding of engineered materials, raw materials, and material technologies, including how material selection and composition impact electronic component performance, structure, reliability, and end-use applications.

You will use this technical expertise to identify customer challenges and recommend materials-based solutions that improve product performance, manufacturability, and support business growth. Experience with metallurgy, polymers, ceramics, and other advanced materials used in electronic component manufacturing is preferred. This role is open to fully remote candidates and is a direct-hire opportunity.

Required Education and Experience
10+ years of experience in a customer-facing position, including Sales, Technical Sales, or Technical Service
5+ years of experience in the electronic component or semiconductor packaging industries
Strong understanding of engineered materials used in electronic components and semiconductor applications
Experience applying knowledge of raw materials and material compositions to support customer solutions and technical sales initiatives
Ability to understand how material selection impacts component performance, structure, and end-use applications in electronics markets
Preferred Education and Experience
AA, BS, BA, or advanced technical degree preferred
Experience with metallurgy, polymers, ceramics, or other advanced materials used in electronic component manufacturing
Knowledge of materials solutions for electronic, sensor, semiconductor, or related high-technology applications
General Requirements
Ability to lead and work with internal and external cross-functional teams to close new business and service existing accounts
Ability to build strategic relationships with customers at all organizational levels to achieve or exceed business objectives
Ability to communicate the value of products to customers across different markets and segments
Ability to self-direct work schedules based on evolving environments
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, CRM software, and SAP
Ability to work, communicate, and influence in a consensus-based culture
Strong problem-solving skills and business acumen
Ability to discuss engineered materials and material performance characteristics with customers and technical stakeholders
Ability to identify customer challenges and recommend materials-based solutions that improve component performance and manufacturability
Working knowledge of raw material sourcing, material selection, and their impact on electronic component design and functionality
Essential Functions
Build strategic relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders through presentations, onsite visits, and quarterly business calls
Generate and qualify leads through in-field activities, cold calls, and targeted visits
Grow the sales pipeline to meet annual targets
Manage the full sales cycle from opportunity identification through sales closure and support
Develop strategic account plans and business plans for assigned accounts
Communicate effectively with internal and external technical teams
Research and support promotional efforts, including tradeshows, technical events, and advertising
Lead sales projects through business closure by guiding cross-functional teams toward high-probability opportunities
Budget and forecast sales for assigned accounts on a quarterly basis
Plan and execute quarterly sales activities and prospecting cadence through scheduled customer visits
Stay current on economic and industry trends through customer interactions and external sources
Maintain compliance with the company Code of Business Conduct, policies, procedures, and applicable regulations
Act according to company values and behaviors
Serve as a role model and mentor to others
Perform other related duties as assigned
Serve as a technical advisor to customers by demonstrating how engineered materials and raw material selection influence electronic component performance and reliability
Collaborate with customers and internal technical teams to identify and deliver materials-based solutions for electronic component applications
Leverage knowledge of advanced materials, including ceramics, polymers, metals, and specialty compounds, to develop business opportunities and support sales growth
Maintain expertise in emerging materials technologies, electronic component trends, and semiconductor packaging advancements
