Role Overview
We are seeking a senior-level DevOps and Platform Engineer to join our Enterprise CI/CD team. This role is focused on the administration, governance, and support of our GitHub Enterprise and Azure DevOps platforms. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring these platforms run efficiently, enabling hundreds of application teams to deliver safely and at high speed. This position involves CI/CD enablement, user onboarding, and handling daily operational tasks to improve the overall development experience.

Role Overview
We are seeking a senior-level DevOps and Platform Engineer to join our Enterprise CI/CD team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring these platforms run efficiently, enabling hundreds of application teams to deliver safely and at high speed. This position involves CI/CD enablement, user onboarding, and handling daily operational tasks to improve the overall development experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and provide governance for GitHub and Azure DevOps platforms, with a heavier emphasis on GitHub and GitHub Actions.
- Manage CI/CD pipelines, repositories, access, and permissions for development teams.
- Provide L2/L3 support for platform administration, including remediating access problems, triaging issues with runners, and managing workflows.
- Enhance and automate current systems to better enable agile development across IT.
- Oversee the health of the CI/CD tools by keeping them current with upgrades and patches.
- Support development teams with the onboarding experience and act as a liaison with vendors.
- Handle a high volume of support tickets and ad hoc activities.
- Implement best practices for and support the usage of Microsoft Co-Pilot for GitHub, particularly around budget and FinOps.
- Utilize scripting with Shell, Python, and PowerShell for automation.
Experience:
- 10 years of experience as a senior-level engineer, potentially with a background in development.
- At least 1 year of experience in application release automation or code migrations.
- Experience in a medium to large enterprise environment.
- Proven experience providing L2/L3 support and handling a high volume of support tickets.
Technical Skills:
- Deep technical understanding of administering GitHub Enterprise (Repositories & GitHub Actions) and Azure DevOps, including permissions, API integrations, and pipeline scripting.
- Experience with automation scripting using Shell, Python, and PowerShell.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipeline administration and maintenance.
- Experience with automation tools such as Ansible and Terraform.
- Familiarity with administrating GitHub Self-Hosted Runners on-prem or in a cloud environment (AWS, Azure).
- Experience with ITSM processes and ticketing tools like Remedy or ServiceNow.
- Knowledge of Docker and Nexus Sonatype Repository administration.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Microsoft Co-Pilot for GitHub, including best practices for implementation and adoption.
- Familiarity with web services/REST APIs and API integration with a focus on security.
- Experience administering Unix/Linux/Windows environments (install/debug/CLI).
- Knowledge of .NET.
