Job Description

Granite State Manufacturing (GSM) is seeking an experienced Class A CNC Lathe Machinist to join our precision machining team on first shift.

This position is ideal for a highly skilled machinist capable of independently setting up, programming, and operating complex turning equipment to produce precision components supporting the U.S. Navy submarine program and other mission-critical defense platforms.

About the Opportunity

As a Class A CNC Lathe Machinist, you’ll perform advanced setups, precision machining, and first-piece inspections on a range of CNC turning equipment.

GSM operates Doosan VTLs, Mori SL and CL2000 lathes, Okuma LB4000 EX II, ProtoTRAK, and DMG Mori platforms, supporting both high-mix and large-part production.

You’ll work closely with Planning and Supervision to execute jobs in accordance with the production schedule (IAW schedule), ensuring throughput, quality, and on-time delivery.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Receptionist & Marketing Administrative Coordinator serves as the first point of contact for visitors, customers, vendors, and employees at the company's primary location. This position is responsible for providing professional front-desk support, coordinating administrative activities, and assisting with marketing and social media initiatives that promote the company's manufacturing capabilities and recruitment efforts.

The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent customer service, organizational skills, attention to detail, discretion when handling confidential information, and the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Reception and Customer Service

·         Serve as the primary receptionist for the facility, greeting visitors and directing them appropriately.

·         Answer, screen, and route incoming telephone calls professionally and efficiently.

·         Maintain visitor sign-in procedures and support facility security requirements.

·         Receive and distribute mail, packages, and deliveries.

·         Assist employees, customers, vendors, and government representatives with inquiries.

·         Maintain a clean, organized, and professional reception area.

Social Media Administration

·         Create, schedule, and publish approved content on company social media platforms.

·         Monitor social media channels and forward inquiries to appropriate personnel.

·         Collect photos, project highlights, employee news, and company achievements for marketing use.

·         Assist with website updates and content management.

·         Track and report basic social media engagement metrics.

·         Ensure all social media content aligns with company branding, customer confidentiality requirements, and government contracting guidelines.

Administrative Support

·         Provide administrative support to management and department personnel.

·         Schedule meetings, conference calls, and appointments.

·         Assist with meeting logistics.

·         Prepare correspondence, reports, presentations, and other business documents.

·         Maintain electronic and physical filing systems.

·         Order and manage office supplies and related inventory.

·         Support record retention and document control activities.

·         Assist with employee internal communications and company events.

·         Coordinate interoffice communication between the company's two locations.

Marketing Support

·         Assist with implementation of company marketing initiatives and branding efforts.

·         Update and maintain marketing materials, brochures, presentations, and promotional content.

·         Coordinate trade show registrations, materials, and logistics.

·         Support outreach campaigns and business development activities.

·         Assist in preparation of capability statements and marketing collateral for government and commercial customers.

Ethics and Compliance: Abides by GSM Code of Ethics and Business Conduct standards and strictly observes all U.S. and foreign laws and regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

·         High school diploma or equivalent required.

·         Associate degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or related field preferred.

·         Minimum 2 years of administrative, receptionist, customer service, or office support experience.

·         Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

·         Experience using social media platforms for business purposes.

·         Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

·         Strong organizational and time management abilities.

·         Ability to handle confidential information professionally.

·         Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

·         Due to the nature and importance of GSM’s work, our positions require access to export-controlled information. Therefore, all candidates must qualify as a U.S. Person under applicable export-control/ITAR  regulations, or otherwise be authorized to access such information under U.S. law.

Preferred Qualifications

·         Experience in a manufacturing environment.

·         Experience supporting government contractors or regulated industries.

·         Familiarity with website content management systems.

·         Experience with marketing, graphic design, Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar tools.
