NOTE:

The Bay Area is preferred but generally can be remote in the US if the person is willing to go to the client office once a quarter for a week-long trip.

Description:

This role is essentially a Forward Deployed Engineer / Technical Lead focused on Supply Chain, Customer Portals, and Logistics Systems, with a strong blend of architecture, hands-on development, and client-facing leadership.
Looking for a Forward Deployed Engineer / Technical Lead to drive enhancements for the Supply Chain Connect portal (also known as Cloud Hardware Customer Connect).

Soft skills:

Need to be really good as will be working closely with the client on AI implementations/code base improvements/validating business logic.

Need hands-on experience with setting up AI agents, skills, etc., as well as strong Java experience and ability to code independently.

Accessed via the Google Partner Connect framework; this portal serves as the core user interface for managing Bloom hardware logistics and tracking shipping to external customers. You will act as the pivotal US anchor-evaluating existing tooling, interfacing directly with client stakeholders, architecting features, hands-on building key improvements (using internal stacks like Jetski), and delegating scaled development to the client's engineering team in India.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Experience in technical systems architecture, or technical product engineering with focus on enterprise web applications.
Prior background in Supply Chain Systems, Hardware Logistics, B2B Customer Portals, or Order Management Systems (OMS/SCM) is preferred.
Proficiency in full-stack web technologies (e.g., TypeScript, JavaScript, Java, Go, or Python).
Hands-on familiarity with Google development workflows, infrastructure, and UI frameworks (experience with Jetski or Google Partner Portal architectures is a major plus).
Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, event-driven architectures, and secure cross-platform data integrations.
Proven track record leading offshore delivery teams (e.g., scoping, task allocation, and joint code ownership with teams in India).
Exceptional client-facing communication skills with the ability to translate complex hardware logistics workflows into technical requirements.
