Network Engineer – Data Center (Cisco NexArista)

We are seeking an experienced Data Center Network Engineer to join a mission-critical infrastructure team supporting a large-scale data center environment in Rockdale, TX. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Cisco Nexus, Arista, and enterprise data center networking, with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain large-scale, high-availability data center network infrastructures.
• Configure, troubleshoot, and optimize Cisco Nexus and Arista switching platforms.
• Manage and support Layer 2/Layer 3 networking, routing, and switching technologies.
• Ensure seamless connectivity across servers, storage, and network infrastructure.
• Perform network monitoring, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.
• Collaborate with cross-functional infrastructure and operations teams.
• Maintain documentation for network configurations, procedures, and changes.
• Independently manage day-to-day operational activities with minimal supervision.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of Data Center Networking experience.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco Nexus switches.
• Strong experience with Arista networking solutions.
• Solid understanding of:
  • TCP/IP
  • VLANs
  • BGP, OSPF, EIGRP
  • STP, VPC, VXLAN (preferred)
  • Network troubleshooting and performance optimization
• Experience supporting mission-critical production environments.
• Ability to work onsite five days a week in Rockdale, TX.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• CCNA, CCNP, or CCIE Certification.
• Experience in enterprise or hyperscale data center environments.
• Knowledge of automation or scripting is a plus.
