About the Role
We're supporting a major financial services organisation undergoing a large-scale automation and DevOps transformation programme across complex enterprise platforms.
This is a senior engineering role focused on building resilient automation, modernising CI/CD capabilities and driving engineering best practices across a highly regulated environment. You'll work across automation, platform engineering, observability and governance, helping deliver scalable solutions at enterprise scale.
What You'll Be Doing

• Designing and delivering enterprise-scale automation solutions using Ansible and Python.
• Building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitHub and Jenkins.
• Developing Infrastructure and Automation standards across complex environments.
• Integrating observability, monitoring and compliance capabilities into delivery pipelines.
• Supporting secrets management and secure automation practices using HashiCorp Vault.
• Driving governance, quality controls and engineering best practices.
• Mentoring engineers and providing technical leadership across delivery teams.

What We're Looking For

• 10+ years' experience within DevOps, Platform Engineering or Automation-focused roles.
• Strong Ansible Automation Platform (AAP) experience.
• Expertise with Jenkins, GitHub and CI/CD pipeline development.
• Strong Python engineering capability.
• Experience with HashiCorp Vault, Nexus and API integrations.
• Proven technical leadership and mentoring experience.
• Experience working within highly regulated enterprise environments.
• Exposure to IBM Z environments, z/OSMF or zOAU would be highly advantageous.
