Job Description:

About the Role:

  • We are looking for a Business Analyst to support the migration of client’s inventory allocation control rules from the legacy ERP system into a new unified Allocation Rules Engine within the WMS.
  • This is a detail-oriented, data-focused role working closely with the client’s operations and IT teams to ensure accurate rule translation and validated migration outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze legacy ERP allocation rule configurations across 14 source tables and document current-state logic, data patterns, and known anomalies
  • Build and maintain source-to-target mapping documentation, translating legacy entity-pair records into the attribute-based rule structure of the new engine
  • Identify records requiring consolidation — grouping multiple legacy rows into single unified rules where business logic allows
  • Flag conflicting, contradictory, or inactive source records for stakeholder review and resolution prior to migration
  • Support migration script validation by reconciling migrated rule counts, configurations, and outputs against source data
  • Design and execute data migration test cases to verify that the new rule engine produces identical blocking behavior to the legacy system across key scenarios
  • Maintain a migration tracker covering mapping status, open data issues, decisions made, and sign-off accountability
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to clarify rule intent where source data is ambiguous or undocumented

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 7+ years in a Data Analyst or data migration role, preferably within supply chain, logistics, or distribution
  • Strong proficiency in Excel or SQL for data analysis, mapping, and reconciliation work
  • Proven experience delivering source-to-target mapping documentation in a system migration or data conversion context
  • Comfortable interpreting structured configuration data and translating it into functional business logic
  • Organized and methodical — able to manage large volumes of mapping records with precision and traceability

 Nice to Have:

  • Familiarity with ERP or WMS / CRM platforms in a supply chain environment
  • Experience with UAT or migration
