Workday Financials Consultant (Part-time)

Healthcare IT Leaders is seeking a Senior Workday Financials Consultant for a minimum 20-hour-per-week remote contract opportunity through the end of 2026, with potential to expand to 40 hours per week in 2027.
Responsibilities:

• Serve as the hands-on Workday Financials resource supporting an active client's finance organization through two concurrent system integration initiatives
• Take charge of Workday Financials working sessions, driving agenda, decisions, and follow-through when internal IT resources lack sufficient Workday depth to lead independently
• Support testing and documentation for a live supply chain management integration, including inventory reconciliation and standard operating procedure development
• Drive requirements gathering, testing plans, meeting cadence, and deadline accountability for a construction/capital project software integration spanning project creation, project amendments, purchase orders, and supplier invoices
• Provide light configuration support as needed, including Foundation Data Model (FDM) updates, Calculated Fields (CVs), Automated Process Rules (APRs), and business process recommendations to support new integrations
• Hold cross-functional stakeholders - IT, integration, and procurement teams - accountable to timelines and deliverables
• Identify and flag additional Workday Financials support needs as they surface across the finance organization

Requirements:

• Deep Workday Financials experience, including FDM, Financial Accounting, and Projects (Capital Projects)
• Experience with Workday Budget Check preferred, not required
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional meetings and drive process - this is a leadership role, not a project management role, but requires comparable ownership and follow-through
• Comfortable operating with autonomy in an environment without a dedicated Financials IT manager
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with the resilience and diplomacy to hold multiple teams and working styles accountable to shared deadlines
• Prior experience supporting third-party system integrations with Workday is a plus
