Job Description:

Under the direction of the Director of Construction and the Project Superintendent, the Assistant Superintendedt will support the Project Superintendent in overseeing all on-site operations for commercial construction projects, including office buildings, retail spaces, medical facilities, warehouses, and mixed-use developments. The Assistant Superintendent is responsible for support of all field activities, coordinating subcontractors and vendors, enforcing safety protocols, and ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Duties and Responsibilities:

·      Site Management: Supervise daily field work, coordinate trades, and track project schedules.

·      Safety Oversight: Lead weekly safety meetings, enforce OSHA rules, and complete hazard logs.

·      Documentation: Maintain daily work logs, update project drawings, and track issues.

·      Quality Control: Inspect workmanship and manage punch lists through final closeout.

·      Communication: Connect field crews, subcontractors, and project managers to resolve problems quickly

Position Requirements:

·      Five (5) plus years of experience in construction, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.

·      Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.

·      Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

·      Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction documents.

·      Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend, MS Project).

·      OSHA 30-hour certification or willingness to obtain.

·      Must successfully pass a pre-employment medical examination, including a drug screening, background check, and reference check.

·      Must be able to provide proof of U.S. citizenship or legal right to work in the United States.

Physical Requirements

·      Ability to stand, walk, and move around a construction site for extended periods.

·      Ability to lift and carry materials up to 50 lbs as needed.

·      Work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
