Job description

Salary: Up to £70,000 DOE

Location: Glasgow

Peace Recruitment is working with a well-established consultancy that has significant growth planned for 2027. As part of that, they’re looking to appoint an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead delivery on port and maritime infrastructure projects.

This is a role where you’ll be trusted to run projects, build long-term client relationships and help shape the team as it grows.

Whether you’ve delivered work for harbour authorities, port operators, local authorities, the public sector or wider marine and civil infrastructure clients, we’d like to hear from you.

The Opportunity

You’ll take ownership of projects from early stages through to completion, acting as the main point of contact for your client and responsible for programme, cost, quality and risk.

You’ll work closely with senior stakeholders, consultants and contractors, leading multidisciplinary teams on projects where delivery really matters.

Alongside delivery, you’ll mentor junior team members and contribute to business development as the team grows.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Managing projects and programmes from inception through to completion.
  • Building trusted relationships with clients and becoming their go-to advisor.
  • Leading project teams and coordinating consultants and contractors.
  • Managing project risks, budgets, programmes and reporting.
  • Preparing and presenting reports to clients and senior stakeholders.
  • Supporting bids, proposals and business development.
  • Coaching and mentoring junior members of the team.

About You

You’ll already have experience delivering projects in a consultancy or client-side environment and be comfortable owning a project and managing client expectations.

Ideally, you’ll have:

  • A strong background in Project or Programme Management within the built environment.
  • Experience delivering harbour, marine or wider infrastructure projects.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Commercial awareness and the ability to manage project finances.
  • The confidence to make decisions and stand behind them.
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary project teams.

Professional membership such as MRICS, MAPM or MCIOB would be advantageous but not essential

What’s On Offer

  • Salary up to £70,000 DOE.
  • Car allowance
  • A role with growth planned for 2027 and the chance to help shape the team.
  • Hybrid working
  • Generous Pension contributions
  • Ongoing professional development and support towards your career goals.
