Facilities Technician

Express Employment Professional is hiring for a Facilities Technician. The Facilities Technician is responsible for maintaining, inspecting, and repairing facility systems, equipment, and infrastructure to ensure safe and efficient operations. This position performs preventive maintenance, responds to work orders, troubleshoots equipment issues, and coordinates specialized repairs as needed.
Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on facility systems and equipment.
• Respond to maintenance requests and work orders, prioritizing urgent repairs to minimize operational disruptions.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, HVAC, environmental management, generator, power management, fire protection, and safety systems.
• Coordinate with specialized technicians or contractors when complex repairs are required.
• Schedule maintenance activities to minimize downtime and disruptions to daily operations.
• Identify maintenance issues and recommend improvements to facility systems, equipment, and procedures.
• Follow established safety procedures and workplace policies.
• Complete maintenance tasks according to established procedures and deadlines.

Qualifications

• Vocational or technical training with 7-8 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Technical training or experience in facilities maintenance, mechanical systems, electrical systems, or a related field preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
• Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Strong technical and mechanical aptitude.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment

• Ability to lift and move up to 45 pounds.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and move throughout the facility regularly.
• Manual dexterity and physical stamina to perform maintenance and repair tasks.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in changing weather conditions and around machinery.
• Flexibility to work a different shift as needed.

Schedule: Monday-Friday 06:30AM-04:00PM
