Job description

Senior Performance Test Engineer:

Location: Sacramento, CA (Onsite for 1st day)

Preferance: Local Candidate 

Experience: 6-8 Years

Required Skills:

  • Strong hands-on experience with Apache JMeter.

  • Workload modeling and performance test execution.

  • Performance bottleneck analysis and root-cause identification.

  • API and web application performance testing.

  • Performance metrics analysis.

Preferred Skills:

  • AWS CloudWatch, API Gateway, ECS, RDS/SQL Server.

  • Git and CI/CD pipelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, parameterize, correlate, and maintain JMeter scripts for web applications and APIs.

  • Design realistic workload models based on transaction volumes, throughput, concurrency, pacing, and peak-load patterns.

  • Execute load, stress, scalability, concurrency, and endurance testing.

  • Perform sustained peak-load endurance testing for at least 12 hours, as specifically required for ICMS.

  • Analyze response times, percentiles, throughput, error rates, CPU, memory, database connections, waits/locks, and application latency.

  • Identify performance bottlenecks, perform root-cause analysis, support performance tuning, and conduct retesting.

  • Validate performance results against SLAs and acceptance criteria.

  • Document test scenarios, execution results, defects, and supporting evidence.

  • Collaborate with development, architecture, DevOps, database, infrastructure, and interface teams.
