job summary:

This is a mid-level, hands-on development role supporting the Enterprise Architecture program. The primary focus (~80%) involves building the Architecture Portal (leveraging Angular, Spring Boot, and Gen AI) and deploying Enterprise Insight, a containerized EA repository platform, on AWS EKS. The secondary focus (~20%) is supporting architecture governance activities. The successful candidate will leverage AI-assisted coding tools to accelerate development and must possess exceptionally solid core skills in Java, Spring Boot, and Spring Security. Looking ahead, this role will also support an upcoming future project focused on Keylock security.

responsibilities:

• Build and enhance the Architecture Portal utilizing an Angular 20 frontend and Spring Boot REST APIs.
• Coordinate with the vendor to plan, deploy, and configure our architecture modeling tool, Enterprise Insight (delivered as container images), on AWS EKS.
• Manage deployment specifics including manifests, ConfigMaps, Volume Mounts, secrets, and health checks.
• Build Spring Boot API integrations with Enterprise Insight, CMDB, and internal developer tools.
• Write and maintain automated tests for both frontend and backend systems.
• Support and build out future project initiatives focused on Keylock security.

Secondary Responsibilities (~20%)

• Support Architecture Review Board (ARB) meetings by capturing decisions, action items, and follow-ups.
• Manage architecture intake workflows using Confluence and Jira.
• Assist with architecture documentation and standards as needed.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Core Backend: Exceptionally strong, foundational skills in Java, Spring Boot (REST APIs, Spring Data), and Spring Security. Must have 4+ years of hands-on Spring Boot experience.
• Core Frontend: 4+ years of hands-on experience with Angular (v14+), TypeScript, and RxJS.
• Security & Integration: Extensive experience integrating with third-party APIs, including strong knowledge of SSO, OAuth/JWT, error handling, and retries.
• Cloud & Containers: Strong understanding of Docker, alongside proven experience with Kubernetes/EKS and AWS container deployments.
• Development Tools: Experience utilizing AI-assisted coding tools for efficient software delivery. Familiarity with Jira and Confluence.

Nice to Have

• Experience with reactive/WebFlux programming.
• Exposure to EA modeling tools (e.g., LeanIX, Orbus, ArchiMate).
• Prior exposure to architecture governance or ARB processes.
