Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Java Backend Engineer with strong expertise in Java 21, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and AWS, along with experience or exposure to integrating AI/Generative AI capabilities into enterprise applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in backend development, microservices, cloud-native architecture, and API design, with the ability to build scalable services that interact with AI/LLM-based solutions.   Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain backend applications using Java 21 and Spring Boot. Build scalable RESTful APIs and microservices. Design and deploy cloud-native applications on AWS. Develop integrations between backend applications and AI/Generative AI services and LLMs. Build APIs and services that consume AI models and incorporate AI-generated results into business applications. Work with prompt engineering, RAG, embeddings, vector databases, or AI agents where applicable. Implement secure, reliable, and high-performance API integrations. Participate in architecture, design discussions, code reviews, testing, and troubleshooting. Collaborate with product, engineering, DevOps, and AI teams to deliver production-ready solutions. Follow software engineering best practices around security, scalability, observability, and maintainability. Required Skills Strong hands-on experience with Java 21 or recent versions of Java. Strong experience with Spring Boot and microservices architecture. Solid experience designing and developing REST APIs. Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services. Experience developing and deploying cloud-based backend applications. Understanding of AI/Generative AI concepts and LLM integration. Experience integrating applications with AI/LLM APIs or platforms. Strong understanding of API security, authentication, exception handling, and performance. Good knowledge of SQL/NoSQL databases. Experience with Git, CI/CD, Docker, and modern development practices.
