The Role

• Develop and manage robust procurement strategies for a major 10-year+ investment programme.
• Identify and mitigate risks, issues, and liabilities within procurement and contract strategies.
• Create and oversee procurement plans to effectively capture stakeholder requirements.
• Provide essential commercial and supply chain support to ongoing delivery programmes.
• Lead supplier negotiations, focusing on commercial aspects to achieve optimal business outcomes.
• Contribute to bidding activities, ensuring alignment with budget and business objectives.

What You'll Need

• Proven experience in supply chain/commercial roles within the infrastructure and construction industry, specifically managing major projects.
• Demonstrated experience leading procurements based on specifications for design, manufacture, and build.
• Solid understanding of business and procurement methodologies, processes, policy, and strategy.
• Experience in contract management and supplier performance oversight.
• Familiarity with life cycle costing principles and input to Make vs. Buy decisions.
