The Role

• Develop and manage robust procurement strategies for a major, long-term investment programme.
• Identify and mitigate risks, issues, and liabilities within procurement and contract strategies.
• Produce and manage procurement plans to capture diverse stakeholder requirements.
• Provide essential commercial and supply chain support to ongoing delivery programmes.
• Lead negotiations with suppliers on commercial aspects to achieve optimal business outcomes.
• Contribute to bidding activities to ensure alignment with budget and business objectives.

What You'll Need

• Proven experience in supply chain/commercial roles within the infrastructure and construction industry, with a focus on major project procurement.
• Experience leading procurement processes based on specifications, including design and manufacturing/build phases.
• A solid understanding of business and procurement approaches, techniques, processes, policies, and strategy.
• Demonstrated experience in contract and supplier performance management.
• Ability to work closely with internal stakeholders and external professional partners.
• Experience considering life cycle costing principles and Make v Buy processes.
