The Role • Operate heavy machinery such as hostlers, cranes, top loaders, and side loaders to move shipping containers. • Load and unload containers from railcars and trucks efficiently and safely. • Drive hostlers to precisely position containers and chassis within the intermodal yard. • Stack, move, and organize containers according to operational needs. • Conduct pre- and post-operation inspections of equipment to ensure safety and functionality. • Collaborate with yard personnel and supervisors to coordinate daily tasks and container movements. What You'll Need • A valid driver's license is mandatory for this position. • Ability to operate specialized heavy equipment safely and effectively. • Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to all established protocols. • Physical capability to perform demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50lbs and climbing ladders/stairs. • Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays. • Basic communication skills suitable for teamwork and coordination.
