Backend Software Engineer - Identity & Access Management

Amazon Web Services, Inc. seeks a Software Development Engineer to build and enhance AWS IAM Identity Center services that secure access for millions of global customers. You will design, implement, and operate large-scale distributed systems, focusing on identity, authentication, and authorization. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, secure, and highly available features. You will own services end-to-end, from design and code to deployment and monitoring, using modern AWS technologies. Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable, secure backend services for AWS IAM Identity Center.
• Develop, test, and review high-quality code for identity, authentication, and authorization workflows.
• Operate services in production, including monitoring, incident response, and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with product, security, and other engineering teams to define requirements and deliver features.
• Apply secure coding practices and threat modeling to protect customer identities and data.
• Contribute to architectural decisions, code reviews, and technical documentation.
• Automate build, test, and deployment processes using CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code tools.
