Local Sales Coordinator

Job Description
We're on the lookout for a director of sales committed to helping our busy hotel meet its sales goals. You will be responsible for designing our sales strategy and revenue targets, training and evaluating our sales personnel, and ensuring that we generate new and recurring business through various areas of revenue. Our ideal applicant is a leader, innovator, and hard worker with 5+ years of sales experience.

Generate new revenue by using a targeted outbound sales strategy that includes personal calls in your network, phone solicitation to local professionals, travel agencies, and other groups or corporations
Analyze market data and use it to develop methods for meeting financial targets, designing marketing plan deliverables, and developing an annual sales forecast
Develop and implement sales strategies that maintain high levels of occupancy and profitability through coordination with department managers
Implement a strategic plan that aligns with revenue management and hotel objectives to assist the sales staff in meeting and exceeding room booking goals
Deliver previous and upcoming week's sales activity reports, as well as monthly sales expense reports, and meet with department managers to keep them up to date on all hotel sales-related expenses
Displays a proven track record of sales success by lead-generation and closing
Knowledge of computer-based software such as Microsoft Word and Excel
This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent (GED) and a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
Our Redding Hotel is near the Shasta Cascade Region.

The Holiday Inn Hotel and Convention Center Redding is centrally located within Shasta County businesses and attractions, offering the perfect location for corporate and leisure travelers alike. The hotel has a little over 8,000 square feet of customizable event and meeting space.
