We are seeking an Assistant Department Head for a leading fresh food counter within a highly respected German food retailer. This role is pivotal in maintaining exceptional quality and customer experience, focusing on creative presentations and team leadership.

The Role

• Provide deputy leadership for the fresh food counter team, acting as a role model and implementing national sales concepts.
• Ensure excellent product presentation, freshness, and adherence to hygiene standards with a keen eye for detail.
• Delight customers with appealing displays, expert advice, and courteous service.
• Independently implement ideas for sales-promoting activities.
• Manage cost and revenue development, inventory, pricing, and stock flow.

What You'll Need

• Completed vocational training, preferably in the food retail sector; or equivalent experience in baked goods or self-service fresh food counters.
• Solid product knowledge with a strong understanding of freshness and quality.
• A solution-oriented, results-driven approach with a structured and conscientious work ethic.
• Excellent teamwork, customer focus, and communication skills.
• Flexibility to work a rotating shift system, Monday to Saturday.
