Salary: Competitive salary + car allowance + significant bonus potential

Location: Cannock or South. The role is hybrid based with regular travel to our Cannock office and UK sites.

What you'll be doing:
The Head of People Development (Operations) will play a pivotal role in driving the strategic direction of all operational, digital training and emerging talent initiatives including interns, graduates and apprenticeships at Veolia. This role is responsible for leading a team of Learning, Development and Digital Specialists, Emerging Talent team, digital content team to design, build and deploy a diverse range of People Development programmes and initiatives, aligned to Veolia's business strategy.
The role will take a lead in upskilling and reskilling our people in support of a highly skilled workforce to meet our 4 year ambitious business strategy "Green up".
The role will report to the People Development Director and will be crucial in supporting them to manage the assessment of organisational needs, including the design, implementation, service delivery and evaluation of all UK&I Learning and Development programs.
What we're looking for:
Essential

  • Strong background in designing and implementing large scale programmes, including Emerging Talent initiatives apprenticeships and technical training.
  • Experience, leading and managing high performing teams.
  • Experience of using digital systems, Apprenticeship portal, smart assessor etc.
  • Knowledge of government apprenticeship framework and governance
  • Excellent stakeholder management experience with the ability to influence and engage at all levels of the organisation


Desirable

  • Professional certifications (CIPD, ILM) or equivalent
  • Experience in change management
  • Knowledge of performance management systems
