Lead LPN/MA - Full Time - Mercy Clinic Pain Management

Job DescriptionFind your calling at Mercy!\nThe position serves as a lead role within the departments working in conjunction with the practice manager. Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care under the supervision of a physician or nurse practitioner licensed by a State regulatory board to refill medication and assist with treatment. Maintains professional accountability for provision during clinic appointments and patient phone calls. Coordinates the patient care/testing/procedures in conjunction with other departments.

Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information.\nPosition Details:\n\nMinimum Qualifications:\n Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.\nLicensure: Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program; Consideration will be given for comparable education experience and successful licensure.

Is personally responsible for obtaining and maintaining a current LPN license within the hiring state in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all State Board of Nursing requirements.\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\nCertification(s):\nNOTE: One or more of the certifications below may be required based on the position/unit hired to, or acquisition of certification within department required timeframe:\n•
ACLS/ALS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)\n•
PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)\n•
PEARS (Pediatric Assessment Recognition and Stabilization)\n•
S.T.A.B.L.E. (Sugar, Temperature, Airway, Blood Pressure, Lab Work, And Emotional Support) Six Assessment & Care Modules\n•
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire.\n•
IV Certification within 1 year of hire.\n•
Other unit-specific certifications as required.\n\nPhysical Requirements:\n•
Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis.\n•
Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift.\n•
