Job Description

Morgan McKinley is looking for an experienced Development Manager who has proven construction / estates experience. The Development Manager will support with planning, budgeting, project design, construction, supervision and technical advice.

Salary: £54-56K + car allowance

Location: East Grinstead, West Sussex

Development Manager duties:

  • Manage and coordinate the design, specification and procurement of major works projects
  • Project management, from inception to end of defects, of multiple construction projects to help improve and grow the portfolio
  • Assist in the preparation and submission of planning applications
  • During the construction phase of projects including regular site checks on progress and auditing of health and safety
  • Obtain building regulation approval when required
  • Prepare and produce cost estimates and formal capital expenditure reports
  • Oversee and review the production of concept, planning, construction and as-built drawings in Autocad
  • Log and update project progress
Skills and experience:
  • Proven experience working in a similar construction project management type role
  • Must be a driver and able to work across the UK and overnight stays required
  • Good working knowledge of Autocad
  • Knowledge and experience of Building Regulations, CDM regulations and general health and safety legislation
