Job description

SAP Basis Consultant (ECC to S/4HANA Migration)
Location: Washington, DC ( Remote + Occasional Travel )

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced SAP Basis Consultant with strong hands-on expertise in SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA migration and conversion projects. The candidate should have experience managing end-to-end technical migration activities, system upgrades, installations, configurations, troubleshooting, and post-migration support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Must have hands-on experience in SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA migration/conversion projects.
  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA system conversion using SUM (Software Update Manager) and DMO (Database Migration Option).
  • Strong expertise in SAP Basis administration, system installation, configuration, upgrades, and maintenance.
  • Experience in SAP system landscape planning, sizing, and architecture.
  • Expertise in SAP HANA database administration, installation, upgrades, backup, recovery, and performance monitoring.
  • Experience with Unicode conversion, database migration, kernel upgrades, and system refreshes.
  • Knowledge of SAP Maintenance Planner, SUM, SWPM, and SAP Software Download Center.
  • Experience in SAP system copy, client administration, transport management, and system monitoring.
  • Troubleshooting technical issues during pre-migration, migration, and post-migration activities.
  • Experience in SAP S/4HANA post-conversion activities, including system validation and performance optimization.
  • Knowledge of SAP Fiori installation, configuration, and administration would be an added advantage.
  • Experience working with cross-functional SAP teams, including functional, ABAP, Security, and infrastructure teams.
  • Ability to prepare technical documentation, migration plans, and project status reports.

  • Knowledge of SAP High Availability (HA), Disaster Recovery (DR), and backup strategies.

  • Good communication and client-handling skills.
  • Ability to independently manage technical migration activities.
  • Experience working in large-scale SAP transformation projects.
