Hardware to Software Integration Engineer (Mid Level) Active TS SCI with Full Scope Poly Required On-site – no remote work available Shyft Solutions is hiring a Hardware to Software Integration Engineer to support a mission-focused program integrating hardware systems with modern software services. This role is centered on making systems work together. You will connect mission equipment to distributed software systems so it can be controlled, monitored, and understood in real time.

The work spans hardware, software, and networking, with a strong focus on integration, testing, and system behavior. This is a good fit for someone who enjoys solving integration problems and working across hardware and software boundaries. You will spend your time figuring out how systems communicate, integrating new equipment, validating system behavior, and troubleshooting issues in complex environments. What You’ll Do:

• Integrate hardware systems with software services in a distributed environment
• Perform system integration, verification, and validation across end-to-end systems
• Develop and execute test plans, procedures, and reports
• Translate system requirements into testable interfaces and workflows
• Build and maintain services that interface with mission equipment
• Implement XML-based interfaces and communication protocols
• Develop and support REST-based services
• Support containerized deployments (Docker, Kubernetes, Helm)
• Troubleshoot issues across hardware, software, and networked systems
• Analyze and resolve anomalous system behavior
• Collaborate with software and systems engineers to deliver integrated capabilities
• Use tools such as Jira and Confluence for tracking and documentation Required Qualifications:
• Active TS SCI with Full Scope Poly
• Experience with hardware and software integration
• Experience interfacing with or controlling hardware through software
• Experience working with system interfaces and integration points
• Understanding of system integration, verification, and validation
• Experience working in Linux environments
• Familiarity with Agile and Scrum
• Experience with one or more of the following:
• Java
• XML
• REST services
• SNMP
• noSQL databases
• SCPI
• GEMS
• React
• NodeJS Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or Helm
• Experience working in distributed or containerized systems
• Familiarity with Git
• RF knowledge or hands-on RF experience
• Experience in classified or mission-critical environments
