Software Engineer, Infrastructure with Security Clearance

Location: Reston, VA Security Clearance: TS/SSBI/SCI We’re looking for a mid-level Infrastructure Engineer to build, deploy, and operate the systems that support mission-focused software in production. You’ll help improve the path from development to deployment, while ensuring operational environments are reliable, observable, secure, and maintainable. This role offers hands-on ownership across Kubernetes, Docker, Helm, CI/CD, monitoring, incident response, and system integrations. The ideal candidate combines strong infrastructure and software engineering skills with the ability to solve problems in secure, operationally constrained environments. What You’ll Do

• Build and maintain CI/CD and release pipelines for cloud, on-premises, and deployed environments
• Deploy and manage containerized applications using Kubernetes, Helm, and Docker
• Monitor production systems and lead incident response to maintain high availability
• Improve system reliability, observability, and operational processes
• Integrate applications and infrastructure with external systems and services
• Collaborate with researchers, software engineers, and end users to deliver reliable operational solutions

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Applied Mathematics, or a related technical field
• 3+ years of professional experience
• Active TS/SCI security clearance
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Helm, and Docker
• Strong understanding of software deployment lifecycles across cloud and on-premises environments
• Software development experience with Java, Rust, TypeScript/React, or similar technologies
• Strong software engineering and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
• U.S. citizenship required

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Azure DevOps, GitLab, Argo CD, or similar CI/CD platforms
• Experience with Keycloak or comparable identity and authentication systems
• Experience with Grafana, Loki, Alloy, or similar observability tools
• Production incident response experience
• Experience integrating software with external systems and services
