International Tax Director - Morgan McKinley

A leading Big 4 professional services firm is looking to appoint an experienced International Tax Director to join its growing International Tax practice.
This is an opportunity to advise multinational groups, listed businesses and internationally expanding organisations on their most complex cross-border tax challenges while taking a leading role in the continued growth of a market-leading advisory team. Working closely with Partners and an extensive global network, you'll combine technical excellence with commercial leadership, helping clients navigate an increasingly complex international tax landscape.
The Opportunity
As an International Tax Director, you'll lead high-profile advisory engagements, build long-term client relationships and play a key role in the strategic development of the practice. You'll advise businesses on international expansion, group structuring, acquisitions, financing and global tax reform while working alongside specialists across multiple jurisdictions to deliver integrated solutions. Alongside your client work, you'll help shape the future of the team through business development, people leadership and mentoring the next generation of international tax specialists.
Key Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of complex international tax advisory projects for multinational businesses and large corporate groups.
• Advise clients on international structuring, business reorganisations, cross-border financing and global expansion.
• Build trusted relationships with CFOs, Heads of Tax and senior leadership teams, acting as a strategic adviser on international tax matters.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams across the UK and overseas to deliver seamless cross-border solutions.
• Provide strategic guidance on OECD developments, BEPS 2.0, Pillar Two and wider international tax reform.
• Drive business development through networking, proposals, client presentations and identifying new opportunities.
• Oversee engagement quality, commercial performance and risk management across a diverse client portfolio.
• Lead, mentor and develop Senior Managers, Managers and wider team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture.

About You

• ACA, CTA, ACCA or an equivalent professional qualification.
• Significant experience advising multinational groups on complex international tax matters.
• A strong track record of leading cross-border advisory projects and managing senior client relationships.
• Excellent commercial awareness with proven business development experience.
• Outstanding leadership skills with experience developing high-performing teams.
• The ability to translate complex international tax legislation into clear, commercially focused advice.
• A collaborative approach with the ambition to help grow a leading international tax practice.
