Job description

Immediate need for a talented Python Developer. This is a 06+ Months Contract opportunity with long-term potential and is located in Westlake, TX(Hybrid). Please review the job description below and contact me ASAP if you are interested.

Pay Range: $55 - $65/hour.  Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).
Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and implement complex Python data computation applications.
  • Lead the design and implementation of key features and components of our product suite.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver new features.
  • Ensure code quality, adherence to coding standards, and maintainability through linting and automated testing.
  • Mentor junior developers, conduct code reviews, and ensure software deliverables meet high-quality standards.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and other technical issues.

Key Requirements and Technology Experience:

  • Proven experience as a Senior Python Developer, primarily in backend applications.
  • Strong knowledge of Python and familiarity with various Python libraries and frameworks such as Pandas, NumPy, Flask, Django, Fast API.
  • Understanding of code quality, DevSecOps, and automated testing.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
  • Experience in leading a team or mentoring junior developers is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
  • Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Client Cloud, or Azure.
  • Experience with Docker or other containerization technologies.
  • Experience with analytical platforms related to financial services data.
