Position Title: Application Development AS400 Developer
Location: Oklahoma City, OK (Hybrid options available)
Duration:12-Month Initial Assignment (with high probability of extension)
Work Schedule: Days and Shift timings
Pay rate:20 hours per week
Position Overview:
The Office of Management and Enterprise Services (OMES), in coordination with the Oklahoma Insurance Department (OID), is seeking an experienced, high-caliber AS400 Developer/Admin for a long-term contract engagement. This critical resource will provide essential application maintenance, database management, and application-level administration services for OID's core IBM AS/400 (IBM i Series) environment. Because the underlying AS/400 hardware partition, operating system, and baseline infrastructure are fully hosted and managed by an external provider, this position does not require hardware or OS-level systems engineering. Instead, the contractor will focus on application development, software support, database management, and serving as the technical liaison to Ensono for environment-level modifications. Additionally, the contractor will play a key role in assisting state IT leadership with database extraction, documentation of legacy business logic, and support for ongoing cloud migration and data archiving initiatives.
