Principal Full Stack Engineer

Mastech Digital provides digital and mainstream technology staff as well as Digital Transformation Services for all American Corporations. We are currently seeking a Principal Full Stack Engineer for our client in the Financial Services domain. We value our professionals, providing comprehensive benefits and the opportunity for growth. Duration: 12+ Months Contract with possible extension

Location: Westlake, Texas (Hybrid)

Salary: $75.00-$80.00/Hourly

Role: Principal Full Stack Engineer

Primary Skills: Full Stack Engineering

Role Description: The Principal Full Stack Engineer must have 2-8+ years of experience.

Required Experience and Skillsets:

- Bachelor?s or Master?s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.

- 8+ years of experience in full stack development, with at least 3 years in a senior or principal role.

- Strong proficiency in front-end frameworks (React, Angular, or Vue) and back-end technologies (Node.js, Java, Python).

- Expertise in AWS services (EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, API Gateway, CloudFormation).

- Experience working with relational database technologies (Postgres/ Oracle).

- Knowledge of mock frameworks and service virtualization preferred.

- Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).

- Proven understanding of microservices architecture and RESTful APIs.

- Lead the design and implementation of end-to-end solutions across front-end, back-end, and cloud infrastructure.

- Architect and optimize AWS-based cloud environments, ensuring scalability, security, and cost efficiency.

- Develop high-quality, maintainable code using modern frameworks and languages (React, Angular, Node.js, Java, Python, etc.).

- Collaborate with product managers, UX designers, and other engineers to deliver robust and user-friendly applications.

- Mentor and guide engineering teams, promoting best practices in coding, testing, and architecture.

- Ensure compliance with security standards and implement monitoring and observability solutions.

- Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend improvements to architecture and processes.

- High levels of engagement at the team and group levels; Desire to learn and impact outside your primary tasking.

- Ability to communicate optimally with both technical and business stakeholders.

- Experience in designing, implementing, or maintaining systems that support Term Life Insurance operations such as policy administration, underwriting and claims processing is a plus.

MUST Have Soft Skills and Technical Skills:

- Will be primarily hands-on coding

- Need strong UI Development experience with Angular, React

- Need to have some experience with back-end, Java, and AWS integration, but this will be almost exclusively front-end development work.

- Pure UI developers with no middle-tier or back-end knowledge/experience.
