IRIS ObjectScript Developer with Security Clearance

IRIS ObjectScript Developer Remote Blu Omega is seeking an IRIS ObjectScript Developer to support federal healthcare initiatives. This role is responsible for designing, developing, enhancing, and maintaining enterprise applications and integrations within mission-critical environments. Program Overview The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) runs programs benefiting veterans and their families, offering healthcare, education, and support services.

• Design, develop, test, maintain, and enhance applications using InterSystems IRIS and ObjectScript
• Develop ObjectScript classes, methods, routines, and business logic
• Build and maintain data access functionality with IRIS data structures, SQL, and data models
• Develop and support REST APIs, web services, and integrations with external systems
• Analyze existing code and architecture to troubleshoot and implement improvements
• Develop processes for data validation, transformation, and exchange
• Troubleshoot application, database, API, and interface issues for resolution
• Create automated tests and participate in code reviews, source control, and CI/CD processes
• Optimize application performance, security, and reliability
• Maintain technical documentation for applications and integrations
• Collaborate with team members within an Agile environment Required Qualifications
• 5+ years of professional software development experience with InterSystems technologies
• Hands-on experience with InterSystems IRIS and ObjectScript
• Experience developing ObjectScript classes, methods, routines, and application functionality
• Proficiency with IRIS databases, data structures, SQL, and data access technologies
• Experience developing and consuming REST APIs, web services, or enterprise integrations
• Troubleshooting skills across application, database, and integration environments
• Experience with automated testing, source control, code reviews, deployment, and support
• Knowledge of secure coding practices and modern development methodologies
• Strong documentation and communication skills
• Ability to obtain and maintain required government credentials, including a PIV card
