Technical Support Engineer

Our client a technology business is looking for a Technical Support Engineer to join its growing team. This Technical Support Engineer role offers the opportunity to provide first line support across a range of software solutions while developing technical expertise through ongoing training. The successful Technical Support Engineer will work closely with customers, delivering a high standard of service and helping to resolve a wide variety of technical issues. Based in Thame, Oxfordshire. Duties:

• Provide first line telephone and remote technical support to customers.
• Log, manage and update support cases accurately within the CRM system.
• Investigate technical issues and escalate unresolved cases when required.
• Keep customers informed with clear and professional communication throughout the support process.
• Work closely with technical and sales colleagues to deliver excellent customer service.
• Create technical content such as blogs and videos on common support topics.
• Deliver software demonstrations and assist with technical presale activities when needed.
• Maintain relevant software certifications and technical knowledge. Experience:
• IT related education, training or previous technical support experience.
• Strong interest in software, technology and IT systems.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Confidence presenting solutions and ideas to customers.
• Experience with CAD software, manufacturing, engineering or architectural sectors would be advantageous.
• Knowledge of social media and digital marketing would be beneficial.
