Staff Electrical Applications Engineer

Provide electrical engineering support for the application, design, and sale of HVAC chiller systems. Develop compliant electrical designs, perform system calculations, resolve technical issues, and collaborate with sales, engineering, manufacturing, suppliers, and field teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide pre-sale electrical engineering support to sales teams and customers.
• Develop and review power distribution layouts, one-line diagrams, control schematics, and equipment interfaces.
• Apply electrical codes and regulations to ensure compliant designs.
• Perform wire sizing, ampacity, protection, short-circuit, and component-sizing calculations.
• Support motor control applications, including VFDs, soft starters, and across-the-line starters.
• Troubleshoot electrical field issues and develop technical documentation, tools, standards, and training.
