Job Description

Your new company
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Business Analyst to play a key role in a major student systems transformation programme. Working as part of a large-scale digital change initiative, you will support the implementation of a new cloud-based Student Information System, helping to modernise core processes and enhance the student and staff experience.


This is a highly visible role, offering the opportunity to work with senior stakeholders across the institution to analyse, redesign and optimise business processes across the end-to-end student life cycle.

Your new role

  • Lead business analysis activities across a complex Student Information System implementation.
  • Analyse and redesign student life cycle processes, ensuring alignment with organisational objectives and SaaS platform capabilities.
  • Work closely with senior stakeholders, project teams and software vendors to capture, validate and prioritise business requirements.
  • Develop and maintain business analysis artefacts, including process maps, benefits realisation plans, requirements documentation and test plans.
  • Facilitate workshops and stakeholder engagement sessions to drive consensus and decision-making.
  • Identify business improvement opportunities and support continuous process optimisation.
  • Manage and communicate risks, issues, dependencies and change impacts throughout the project life cycle.
  • Support user adoption, training and change management activities.
  • Provide strategic business analysis expertise to project governance forums and leadership teams.
  • Mentor and support colleagues, contributing to the development of business analysis capability across the organisation.



What you'll need to succeed

  • Significant experience leading business analysis activities within large-scale transformation programmes in the Higher Education sector.
  • Strong knowledge of student life cycle processes and associated university operations.
  • Previous experience working with Student Information Systems such as Ellucian Banner, Tribal SITS or similar platforms.
  • Experience supporting SaaS or cloud-based technology implementations.
  • Expertise in business process modelling and service design using structured methodologies such as BPMN.
  • Proven ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels, including senior academic and professional services leaders.
  • Experience developing benefits realisation frameworks and undertaking cost-benefit analysis to support change initiatives.
  • Strong process mapping, requirements gathering and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience using business analysis techniques including BPMN 2.0, user stories, use cases, gap analysis and stakeholder mapping.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to navigate complex organisational change.
