SAP Technical Cutover and Data Migration Project Manager

This is an outstanding opportunity for an SAP Cutover/Data Migration Technical Project Manager to lead the transformation, cutover and data migration for a very large global greenfield SAP S/4HANA implementation.

The SAP S/4HANA Master Cutover & Data Migration Technical Project Manager will lead our end-to-end Master Cutover Orchestration and Data Migration execution for a global SAP S/4HANA greenfield implementation program. You will own, build, and execute the integrated project plan and line-item Cutover Runbook—from design, extract, transform, load (ETL), and mock conversion cycles through to final production cutover and go-live. This role functions as a hands-on technical delivery manager who understands SAP data object architecture, migration tooling, technical dependencies, and critical-path sequencing to drive business data readiness and execute a flawless system transition.

Responsibilities

• Build and Run Master Cutover: Construct, own, and execute the detailed line-item Cutover Runbook, enforcing predecessor/successor dependencies, system lock windows, transport paths, technical blackout periods, interface freezes, and go/no-go gates.
• Drive Mock Cutovers & Rehearsals: Lead multiple mock cutovers and dry runs, enforcing entry/exit criteria, tracking load throughput/timing metrics, and optimizing execution sequences to minimize production downtime.
• Execute Data Migration Lifecycle: Direct technical source extraction, data profiling, field mapping, cleansing, transformation, target loading, validation, and automated/manual reconciliation across all source systems.
• Deliver Master & Transactional Data: Enforce load sequencing, transformation rules, validation and business sign-off for complex enterprise data objects, including Business Partner (Customer/Vendor), Material Master, Finance, and open transactional balances (AP/AR, POs, Sales Orders, inventory).
• Integrate Technical Workstreams: Align technical deliverables and cutover timing across SAP Solutions Architect, SAP Functional Leads, Sr. ABAP Developers, SAP Basis/infrastructure Team, RICEFW/integration developers, and System Integrator technical leads.
• Resolve Technical Bottlenecks: Drive remediation of RAID items, cutover schedule conflicts, data mapping mismatches, transformation logic failures, and load performance issues; deliver metric-driven, line-item status reporting to program leadership.

Technical Qualifications

• Master Cutover Planning & Execution: 8+ years of hands-on technical SAP project management experience directly creating and executing detailed, time-sequenced Cutover Runbooks covering technical freezes, transport releases, interface activations, and rollback contingency protocols.
• SAP S/4HANA & Methodology: Direct experience delivering at least one full-lifecycle greenfield SAP S/4HANA migration (or brownfield migration) preferably using SAP Activate methodology (Deploy phase cutover task lists) and Cloud ALM or SAP Solution Manager.
• Data Migration Lifecycle & Tooling: Deep technical knowledge of SAP Data migration architectures and tools, specifically SAP S/4HANA Migration Cockpit (LTMC/Migrate Your Data App (Fiori)), SAP Data Services (BODS), LSMW, BAPIs, IDocs, and staging database ETL pipelines.
• Data Object Mastery: Hands-on familiarity with SAP Data mapping logic, conversion rules, and technical dependencies for SAP Master Data (BP, Material, Finance) and open transactional data across OTC, PTP, RTR, and Supply Chain.
• Project Plan Mechanics: Advanced proficiency in building and managing multi-workstream project plans using Smartsheet (or equivalent), Cutover Orchestration Platforms, establishing critical paths, hard logic ties, and resource loading.
• Preferred (NOT Mandatory) Global Template & Regulated Environment: Experience supporting global template rollouts across multiple entities/plants, preferably within Life Sciences, Medical Device, or regulated manufacturing environments requiring validated load environments and audit trail reconciliation.
