The Role

• Operate specialized heavy equipment (e.g., hostlers, cranes, top loaders) to move shipping containers.
• Load and unload containers from railcars and trucks within the intermodal yard.
• Drive hostlers to position containers and chassis accurately.
• Perform pre- and post-operation equipment inspections to ensure safety and functionality.
• Coordinate with yard personnel and supervisors for efficient task management.
• Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to established protocols.

What You'll Need

• A valid driver's license is mandatory.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety procedures.
• Willingness to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs and climb ladders and stairs.
• Basic communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a team setting.
