Senior Java Developer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Java Developer to design, develop, maintain, and enhance enterprise-level applications. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Core Java, J2EE, Spring/Spring Boot, Microservices, REST/SOAP web services, SQL/PLSQL, and relational databases.

The candidate will work as an individual contributor while also providing technical guidance, code reviews, and support to junior developers and a small development team.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, implement, and maintain scalable multi-tier enterprise applications.
• Participate in system architecture and technical design activities.
• Develop and maintain applications using Java, J2EE, Spring, and Spring Boot.
• Design and develop RESTful and SOAP-based web services.
• Develop and support microservices-based applications.
• Perform code reviews and provide technical guidance to junior developers.
• Lead and mentor a small team of developers when required.
• Apply object-oriented design principles, design patterns, and software development best practices.
• Troubleshoot application issues and provide technical solutions.
• Work closely with business analysts, QA teams, architects, and other technical teams to deliver solutions.
• Participate in application testing, deployment, maintenance, and production support activities.
• Work with relational databases and develop efficient SQL/PLSQL queries.
• Contribute to database design and application data modeling.
• Work with application and web servers to support enterprise applications.
• Ensure code quality, performance, scalability, security, and maintainability.

Required Technical Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with Core Java and J2EE.
• Experience with Java 7, 8, and/or 11.
• Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming, Design Principles, and Design Patterns.
• Experience developing multi-tier enterprise applications.
• Strong experience with Spring Framework and Spring Boot.
• Experience with Microservices architecture.
• Hands-on experience with RESTful web services and SOAP web services.
• Experience with Servlets and JSP.
• Experience with Hibernate or other ORM frameworks.
• Knowledge of Struts is preferred.
• Strong SQL skills with experience in PL/SQL and relational databases.
• Understanding of database design and data modeling.
• Good knowledge of application and web servers.
• Experience with software development lifecycle, testing, deployment, and production support.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience working on large-scale enterprise applications.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
• Strong understanding of application performance, scalability, and integration concepts.
• Ability to work effectively with distributed and cross-functional teams.
