Job Description

Lead Manufacturing Engineer

Introduction:

Our client in Gulfport, MS is seeking a Lead Manufacturing Engineer to take full responsibility for building and/or expanding their fiber glass related products. The selected candidate will work closely with the design team to ensure successful execution of designs and oversee production on the floor. This is a full-time position offering career growth, stability, and a generous benefits package.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the design team to ensure designs are capable of execution
  • Execute designs with support from production manufacturing engineers
  • Ensure designs are executed per specifications and shipments are complete for customers
  • Lead end-to-end production/manufacturing responsibilities
  • Own product development, tooling development, and supervise manufacturing support for multiple products
  • Author manufacturing work instructions, inspection procedures, white papers, monthly reports, etc.
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert in key areas of the production process
  • Interface regularly with customers and subcontractors
  • Produce proposals, schedules, budgets, and other programmatic deliverables

Requirements:

Required:

  • United States Citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a US DoD Security Clearance
  • Bachelor of Science in Composites, Mechanical, Civil, Structural, Chemical, Aerospace, or related engineering field
  • 8+ years of experience in production/manufacturing, with at least 4 years as a Production Lead
  • Experience in manufacturing/production of Fiber Glass or related products preferred
  • Proficiency in CAD tool SolidWorks for modeling and drawing development
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Strong customer service and client services skills

Preferred:

  • Experience with Aramid Fiber (Kevlar), Basalt Fiber, or related materials
  • Background in producing proposals, schedules, budgets, and other programmatic deliverables
