Job Title: API Configuration Engineer – Healthcare Background

Duration: 12+ Months Contract

Location: Preferred: Eagan, MN – Hybrid/100% Remote

Position Summary:

We are seeking an API Configuration & Integration Engineer with strong experience in application configuration, API integrations, and enterprise system support. This role will focus on configuring business applications, supporting integrations, troubleshooting issues, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable solutions. The ideal candidate has a strong API and application development background and is eager to learn new platforms and frameworks. The client is willing to train qualified candidates on the Newgen platform, making prior Newgen experience beneficial but not required.

Responsibilities

• Configure, enhance, and support application integrations and API-based solutions based on business and technical requirements.
• Develop and maintain REST/SOAP API integrations between enterprise applications and third-party systems.
• Configure workflows, business rules, interfaces, and application components to support operational needs.
• Troubleshoot application, API, configuration, and integration issues across multiple systems.
• Partner with business analysts, architects, developers, and stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Perform testing, validation, documentation, and deployment of configuration and integration changes.
• Monitor and support production applications and integrations, resolving issues as needed.
• Follow organizational security, privacy, change management, and support standards.

Required Qualifications

• Strong experience with API development, configuration, and integration support.
• Hands-on experience with REST/SOAP APIs, web services, and system integrations.
• Experience configuring and supporting enterprise applications and workflow-driven solutions.
• Experience with one or more modern development technologies such as:
• Node.js
• Python
• AWS Glue
• PySpark
• Spark SQL
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to learn and support new platforms, frameworks, and technologies.
• Must be local to the client location and able to meet onsite/hybrid work requirements.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications

• Healthcare industry experience. – Must have
• Experience working with workflow, BPM, ECM, or low-code platforms.
• Experience supporting enterprise application integrations in a cloud or hybrid environment.
