Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Python Developer with 15+ years of overall software development experience and strong hands-on expertise in Python to design, develop, and deliver enterprise-grade applications and APIs supporting mission-critical banking and financial services platforms.

The ideal candidate will have deep experience in Python, REST APIs, microservices, cloud-native technologies, SQL, distributed systems, and financial applications. Experience with Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), or AI-powered enterprise applications is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-scale Python applications for banking, payments, lending, wealth management, trading, and financial services platforms.

• Design and develop secure, scalable RESTful APIs and microservices.

• Build integrations with third-party banking platforms, payment gateways, financial data providers, and cloud services.

• Design highly available distributed systems capable of handling high transaction volumes with low latency.

• Develop reusable Python frameworks, libraries, and automation tools.

• Collaborate with architects, product owners, business analysts, QA, DevOps, and engineering teams throughout the SDLC.

• Optimize application performance, scalability, security, and reliability.

• Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and data-processing pipelines for large financial datasets.

• Participate in architecture reviews, technical design sessions, and code reviews.

• Mentor junior and senior developers and provide technical leadership.

• Implement CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.

• Troubleshoot complex production issues involving mission-critical applications.

• Ensure solutions follow banking security standards, regulatory requirements, and enterprise governance policies.

Required Qualifications

• 15+ years of professional software development experience.

• 10+ years of hands-on Python development experience.

• Strong experience designing and developing RESTful APIs and microservices.

• Strong hands-on experience with FastAPI, Flask, Django, or similar Python frameworks.

• Experience implementing API security using OAuth2, JWT, OpenID Connect, or SAML.

• Strong experience in Banking, Capital Markets, Payments, Wealth Management, Investment Banking, or Financial Services.

• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, software architecture, and design patterns.

• Experience integrating enterprise applications using REST APIs, SOAP services, message queues, and event-driven architectures.

• Strong SQL experience with PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, or Snowflake.

• Experience with asynchronous programming, multithreading, and performance optimization.

• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and microservices architecture.

• Experience with Git-based development using GitHub, Bitbucket, or GitLab.

• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

• Strong communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience developing AI-powered applications using OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, Google Gemini, or other LLMs.

• Experience with Generative AI, RAG, AI agents, prompt engineering, semantic search, or vector databases.

• Experience with LangChain, LlamaIndex, Hugging Face, TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scikit-learn.

• Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.

• Experience with Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ, Redis, or other messaging/event-streaming technologies.

• Experience building data pipelines using Pandas, NumPy, PySpark, or Apache Spark.

• Familiarity with financial messaging standards such as ISO 20022, FIX Protocol, or SWIFT.

• Experience with observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or Splunk.

• Knowledge of cybersecurity, encryption, identity management, and secure coding practices.
