Senior C# - Snowflake Engineer
London | 9 - 12 Month Contract | Up to £1,000/day | Inside IR35
We're working with a financial technology business on a strategic data platform programme and are looking for a Senior C# / Snowflake Engineer to join a highly technical team delivering a business-critical initiative.
This project is focused on making large volumes of portfolio, trade and investment data more accessible across the business and to leading hedge fund clients through a modern Snowflake-based architecture.
The Role Working closely with technology teams, portfolio managers, traders and quantitative stakeholders, you'll play a key role in building and enhancing the platform used to manage and distribute complex financial datasets.
This is not a traditional development position. The successful candidate will combine strong software engineering capability with a solid understanding of data and financial markets.
Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain applications using C#/.NET.
• Build integrations between business applications and Snowflake.
• Design and enhance data pipelines and services.
• Work with large, complex financial datasets.
• Support the delivery of a strategic data transformation programme.
• Collaborate with front-office, operations and technology stakeholders.
• Contribute to the long-term evolution of the firm's data platform.

Requirements Essential

• Strong commercial C#/.NET development experience.
• Hands-on Snowflake experience.
• Experience working with large-scale data platforms and datasets.
• Strong SQL and database knowledge.
• Experience integrating data between multiple systems.
• Financial services experience.
• Ability to engage directly with business and technical stakeholders.

Highly Desirable

• Asset Management, Hedge Fund or Front Office Banking experience.
• Portfolio, Trade, Risk or Market Data exposure.
• Python experience.
• Experience working alongside Portfolio Managers, Traders or Quants.
• Cloud and modern data architecture experience.
