Job Description

Job Description : Business Manager, Operations, Coalition Greenwich

Reports To : Senior Business Manager, Operations

Location: London

Crisil Coalition Greenwich is a leading provider of strategic benchmarking, analytics and insights to

the financial services industry. We specialize in providing unique high value and

actionable information to help clients measure and improve business performance.

The Role

The Business Manager is a hands-on operational role within the global Coalition Greenwich Operations

team. Reporting to the Senior Business Manager, the role supports the effective day-to-day running

of the business and delivers operational projects that improve consistency, control, efficiency and the

employee experience across regions.

The successful candidate will be a practical problem-solver who can translate business needs into clear

processes, coordinate multiple stakeholders and drive work through to completion. This is an

individual-contributor role with broad exposure across business teams and corporate functions.

Key responsibilities

Business operations and process management

• Act as a trusted operational point of contact for colleagues across the global Coalition

Greenwich business, providing clear guidance on processes, ownership and next steps.

• Own and coordinate selected business operations processes from initiation through

completion, ensuring that responsibilities, controls, documentation and hand-offs are clear.

• Identify inefficiencies, risks and recurring pain points, and develop pragmatic improvements

in partnership with the relevant business and corporate functions.

• Create, maintain and communicate process and policy documentation, trackers and

governance materials.

• Coordinate operational activities across regions to promote consistent, scalable ways of

working while recognising legitimate local requirements.

Operational project management

• Plan and deliver cross-functional operational projects, establishing scope, milestones,

dependencies, owners, risks and reporting requirements.

• Coordinate stakeholders across Coalition Greenwich and relevant Crisil

functions, maintain momentum and escalate issues or decisions appropriately.

• Support the introduction and adoption of new business processes, tools and systems,

including requirements gathering, testing, rollout, training and post-implementation follow

up.

• Coordinate business events and strategic programs; supporting logistics, stakeholder

coordination and overall execution.

Business support and stakeholder engagement

• Build effective relationships with senior and working-level stakeholders across business

lines, regions and corporate functions.

• Support operational elements of onboarding, internal communications, training, office and

infrastructure initiatives, and other business-wide activities as required.

• Contribute to a responsive, service-oriented Operations culture focused on practical

outcomes and continuous improvement

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree required (at least 2:1 or equivalent)

• 5-8+ years of relevant experience in business operations, project management, business

management or a comparable cross-functional role.

• Demonstrable experience delivering operational projects and process improvements from

definition through to implementation.

• Experience coordinating multiple senior and functional stakeholders in a

complex, matrixed or international organisation.

• Experience working with functions such as Legal, Compliance, Risk, Finance,

Procurement, Technology or Human Resources.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to produce clear

process documentation and concise management updates.

• Confident user of Microsoft 365 applications, particularly Excel, PowerPoint,

Word, Teams and SharePoint; experience with workflow, project or business systems

is advantageous.

Required Skills

The successful candidate will have to demonstrate the following attributes:

• Execution and ownership: takes responsibility, follows through and delivers high-quality

work

• Project Management: turns objectives into practical plans, tracks progress and proactively

addresses risks, issues and blockers.

• Organisation and prioritization: Structures complex workloads, manages dependencies and

makes sound trade-offs when priorities compete.

• Stakeholder management: Builds trust, communicates clearly and works effectively across

functions, seniority levels and geographies.

• Problem solving: Uses evidence and judgement to identify root causes and develop

pragmatic, sustainable solutions.

• Process mindset: Creates clarity, consistency and control without adding unnecessary

bureaucracy.

• Adaptability: Works calmly in a changing environment and is comfortable moving between

business-as-usual delivery and project work

• Collaboration: Approaches colleagues as customers and partners, balancing responsiveness

with appropriate challenge and governance.
